Who We Are
Denver Food Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit in Denver, Colorado. Our mission is to produce health equity within Denver neighborhoods. We recover surplus fresh food that would otherwise go to waste from grocery stores, food wholesalers, and farms, delivering it by bike to No Cost Grocery Programs (NCGPs). These community-led programs distribute nutritious food to Denver communities facing barriers to food access.
What We Do
As a Distribution Support volunteer, you'll be the heart of our No Cost Grocery Programs! Your shift might involve receiving and sorting food donations, packing grocery bags, or setting up the market space, depending on the program's needs. Most importantly, you'll be directly handing out food and connecting with community members, making a tangible difference in their lives.
