Who We Are
Denver Food Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit in Denver, Colorado. Our mission is to produce health equity within Denver neighborhoods. We recover surplus fresh food that would otherwise go to waste from grocery stores, food wholesalers, and farms, delivering it by bike to No Cost Grocery Programs (NCGPs). These community-led programs distribute nutritious food to Denver communities facing barriers to food access.
What We Do
Denver Food Rescue partners with 20+ organizations in the metro area. Some of partners are looking for volunteers to lend a hand on their urban farms and gardens. Tasks may include prepping the soil, planting, general farm maintenance, harvesting and other physical tasks.
